i feel useless. i don’t know how to explain.
i hope it’s all the excitement of the full moon- i am so messed up by that whole scene. blah.
i have so much to write and tell you….

another weekend come and gone. can you believe it will be 4th of july
soon. so sad, i have only been swimming once this summer. the weather
seems to not be cooperating when i want it to. last week was crazy
weather- bad storms a few nights.
the weekend was pretty good- lots of hanging out which is always positive.
friday i headed up to h’s after work and we ate pizza and listened to
the band practice for a bit. i headed out early- this working 5 days
a week thing is new to me, again, so i am still not up to speed.
saturday i hung out at home, and made a shirt out of some fabric
(sheets and pillow cases) i got from st. v. de p. i think it turned
out well, i think i’ll use the pattern again to make another one. it
was simple and turned out well, i.e. i didn’t have to make to many
modifications after i sewed it up- it fit pretty well. saturday night
i headed out to new der-town to see some bands i know play. it was a
lot of fun. a decent amount of people at the show. i hadn’t seen the
one band play for a while, and they have gotten even better than
before- they were pretty good before, but even better now. i headed
out early (130 am) and apparently was the party pooper of the people
at the show since everyone was out all night. i’m lame like that.
sunday i headed to the I made it Pgh event in braddock with my friend
n. we had a good time, we both really enjoy the crafty things so it
was cool. cool space, nice weather, i got a “yinzer” badge, i am
struggling where to place it… anyway, i dug it. they are having
another event in sept i think in the south side. so. back to work
today. wishing it was friday again….
pete yorn, first in pgh, but what more bizarre, at the carnegie music hall at homestead. that would be interesting…

Singer/songwriter/rocker Pete Yorn will perform at the Carnegie Music Hall of Homestead to celebrate the release of his latest album, entitled Nightcrawler. Yorn’s music has been featured in several Hollywood films, including Orange County (2001), Spiderman (2002), and Shrek 2 (2004). Doors are at 6:30pm, performance is at 7:30pm. Tickets are $22 in advance and $24 the day of the show.

going to see the national in just two days…
all i did this weekend was make stuff. aside from going to a gallery opening for a friend, quite briefly, but still long enough to have a drinky, i stayed home and crafted. here’s what i got done.
i do not have a green thumb, i wish i did. heather helped me construct some hanging baskets with tons of flowers for our front porch. i am happy to say that they are growing like mad and are flourishing…
my family really values our pets. take my dad, he’s constructing a huge cat window box for gilbert. i’ll take more pictures when it’s inplace, but gilbert will be able to go “outside” by exiting a regular window, the box is all screened in, so he’ll still be safe, but can feel like he’s outside.
