Who’s house, are you haunting tonight? February 27, 2006

here’s the weekend update. natasha and i headed over to the knitting festival on saturday, good thing no one asked us to pay, it was just a weird thing. a lot of the vendors were selling items that i could buy anytime, i want to see stuff that i can’t buy anywhere, you know? guess it was just not my thing. me and natasha met back up with dana at j.h.’s house, which is sickeningly amazing. such a cool house. it makes me sick for a house of my own (i think that is my main domesticated thing, like how some want to birth babies, i want a house….)

the bottom left and top right yarns were from one of the girls from the cleveland stitch and bitch crew, and the other one was from a place in green county, pa. i am psyched about them. oh, h knit the scarf i so gleefully forced gilbert to wear, it looks like tinsel but is actually soft, who knew.

sunday i read articles all day for my paper on creative commons, etc, music, etc but only wrote about a page of the paper, so i want to crank that out tonight. what else do i have for you… spring break is so soon i cannot believe it…..

as mark lanegan says, here comes that weird chill, it sure feels strange and not right around here lately, with people and things, i don’t know…. i think it’s just change that is making me feel out of sorts.

well it’s my friday. i have a term paper to write this weekend and the typical reading assignments galore, oh yea, and my fake strategic plan. it’s all good. spring break is only a week away. (i’ll either go to ft. lauderdale or maybe dc, one or the other….)

i scheduled my two classes for this summer, one is a field placement so it’s not really a class. what else, school has just been weird lately. i know it’s ok to ask questions in class, but at times i am struck with this total pain in my head due to the ridiculous questions (someone recently asked my professor if her law school was like it was in legally blonde, um, highly offensive maybe?) , i feel like there are times when i may not understand something, and what do i do if i don’t ask in class, i look it the f up. right, see that’s what people who are info. seekers do, they look stuff up. that was like a mini rant. anyway…. i am done.

knitting fest tomorrow. natasha is so popular, she’s getting requests from celebs of the knitting world to stop by and see them… swank swank. did i mention that i was asked to stop by and see the person who will be there selling um, drinks and bags of chips?

i heard this song on the radio today. i can’t tell you which is more bizarre, hearing the song or reading the lyrics. i am sure you will hear the song if you turn on your radio, why is there a line about free basing? i find that really bizarre. i am not a critic, there fore i will not make any further comment on the merits of this song.

You Are 25 Years Old
Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view – and you look at the world with awe.
13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.
20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what’s to come… love, work, and new experiences.
30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You’ve had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!
40+: You are a mature adult. You’ve been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.

i hate you, snow February 18, 2006

Filed under: friends, gbg, knitting, school — sortofcrafty @ 8:28 am

i know it’s been a totally easy peezy winter, but i am sick of looking at snow. it looks like a giant snow globe outside now, nice for it’s aesthics, but the reality is not so cool. did i tell you that my coffee maker was on the fritz again, i finally just went with the senseo, homecafe was just not going to work out (plus, somehow i think senseo is now cheaper than homecafe….)
s n b was last night, i did get a last minute offer to go eat cake with a friend, but i had ot say no to eating cake with him due to my allegance to snb. michele’s sister (j) came to snb last night, sure i didn’t teach her to knit, we just talked and had a great ol’ time. it was weird last night, almost like there were different waves of people coming. all good.

have i mentioned that i have a terrible hatred of one of my classes this semester? it’s a management class that in concept would be good, in practice, not so good. it just feels tedious and like busy work (without having any of the knowledg officially through the course to do said busy work).
also, it’s my blogerversary.
ok, i’m hungry. i had a great dinner last night of dried apricots and a power bar. blech.
